Book Early!
- "Settembre Lucchese" is a series of special events that bring the city to life with cultural festivities, concerts, and traditional gatherings. Even though it's the end of the peak tourist season in Tuscany, Lucca becomes a focal point for many visitors drawn to these celebrations. We recommend booking your flights and accommodations as early as possible.

Flight Tips:
- Look at consolidator websites other than Expedia:
- Every consolidator's website searches different airlines, so cover your bases and look at as many as possible. We like Priceline, Hotwire, Kayak, and Hopper.
- Booking Flights:
  - There are no direct flights to Lucca.
  - You can fly directly into major airports nearby:
    - Pisa (PSA)
    - Florence (FLR)
    - Rome (FCO)
    - Milan (MXP)
  - If direct flights to Italy are too expensive, consider flying to a European hub and then traveling to Italy from there. Check for flights to other European hubs like London or Dublin, as they are often less expensive. Flights from these cities to Italy can also be very cheap. Airlines such as British Airways and Alitalia often offer good fares between London and Rome.
